10 Things I can't live without
One - My family and friends - They make my life worth living
Two - My computer and My iPhoneThree - My Design business - I love and have great passion for Interior Design, architecture and art. I'm uplifted, excited, and happy when I'm working on a project.
Four - My car - With the amount of driving I do here in Los Angeles, my car is were I spend most of my time
Five - My books and magazines
Six - Color
Seven - Good food and Dessert
Nine - A good cup or two of coffee
Ten - Art and Design
After writing this list, I can think of another 10 items I cannot live without, I also think about the people of Haiti and how little they have. Please if you have not helped text "Haiti" to 90999 and a donation of $10, charged to your wireless bill, will be given automatically to the Red Cross.

California Gift Show
Last weekend I visited the California Gift Show at the LA Mart and The Los Angeles Convention Center.
I spent a couple of days walking through the permanent and temporary showrooms all full of fabulous accessories, lighting, rugs and furniture. I did manage to take some snap shots of a few of my favorites.
I loved the graphic look of the vintage route signs from trolleys and double-decker buses in the UK, available through Home Economics in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Tozai and Two's Co are wonderful for all kinds of accessories. They always have lots of new items.
Hand crafted furniture imported by DOVETAIL furniture
Handmade textiles, accessories, and furniture imported from Morroco, Greece, and Turkey from Berbere World Imports

Please Help Haiti
As I go on with my life here in Los Angeles, my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti.
If you already have not done so please consider a donation to the American Red Cross, to help with the relief effort.

Turquoise
Turquoise is the color of the tranquil ocean that surrounds a tropical island. A combination of blue and green, it has the serene and inviting qualities of blue, yet uplifting and luminous due to the green. In many cultures turquoise is a protective color used to ward off the evil eye. I especially have a liking for the color since my name Firoozeh means Turquoise.
Here are a few spaces that I love using a combination of yellow and turquoise.
The two living rooms bellow have mostly a neutral pallet, turquoise and yellow are added as splashes of color making them electric and not overwhelming, it also keeps the eyes moving through the space.

Turquoise adds excitement to neutrals, and compliments a variety of colors like yellow, orange, pink and corals just to name a few. Which one of the rooms is your favorite?

Happy New Year!
As the new year begins I look forward to all the projects and goals I have planed. The best way to achieve goals is to write them down and to say them. it's also great to share our goals with others so we can be held accountable, and maybe inspire someone else to do the same, much like Maria at Colour Me Happy has done for me. Here are some of the goals I have set for the year 2010.
One - To live my life, intentionally, powerfully, and in the NOW

Two - To continue to grow my interior design business and this blog
Three - To incorporate more art and culture into my life
Four - Commit to publicity - get published once this year
Five - Trip to Spain and Morocco

When I reflect on the last year, writing this blog has brought much joy to me. I have learned, enjoyed reading, and commenting on the many many blogs out there. So I thank all my blogger friends for sharing your news, tips, and stories. You are truly an inspiration.
Have you written your new years resolution? why don't you try it and attach images to your list it's much more powerful
